Ric Alexander is a dynamic, Bay Area–based saxophonist renowned for his extraordinary ability to play two saxophones simultaneously. With a career spanning over two decades, Ric has earned a reputation as both a musical showstopper and a passionate advocate.

Known on stage as “2sax,” Ric captivates audiences with melodic, high-energy performances that leave lasting impressions. His distinctive sound and stage presence have led him to share the spotlight with some of the biggest names in smooth jazz and R&B, including Tony Toni Toné́—with whom he has toured since 2000—Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz, and Chris Botti.

Ric’s talent and impact have not gone unnoticed. In 2013, he was named “Best Male Jazz Artist” by the Bay Area Music Association of America and won the inaugural Dave Koz Cruise Idol Contest, further cementing his place among contemporary jazz greats.

A festival and club favorite, Ric has headlined sold-out shows at Oakland’s legendary Yoshi’s, performed at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, and opened for iconic artists such as Bobby Caldwell, showcasing his versatility and deep roots in the jazz circuit.
